From Raleigh/Durham
Take 64 East to exit 496 for NC 11/ US 13 South toward Ahoskie. Stay on NC 11 thru Oak City, bypass Ahoskie then it becomes US 13. Shortly after US 13 combines with Hwy 158 you will cross the Chowan River Bridge. The lake will be about 2 miles further on the right.

From Elizabeth City
Take Hwy 17 North to Morgan’s Corner stoplight. Turn left on Hwy 158 West. Go thru Gates County until you come to stop sign intersecting Hwy 13/158, across from Tar Heel Barbeque Restaurant. Turn left, go about 3 miles south until you see a store with no name on right. Lake entrance is about 100 yards more on left.

From the Suffolk, VA area, find Hwy 13 South. Follow 13 South into North Carolina. Go about 15 miles (past Tar Heel Barbeque Restaurant). About 3 miles further south you will see a store with no name on right. Lake entrance is about 100 yards more on left.
