I'm sure you all know Jeff Mitchell as the president of Beaver Lake Ski Club.  Well, I have been tricking a lot lately and he has really been trying to get me to try a flip.  I've always been too chicken to try it but he really wants me too, so I decided to make him a deal: If he did tried a flip, then I would too.  So this past Sunday, he told me to grab his trick ski... To Members About Pictures PDF Print E-mail

Hey guys!

I know there are plenty of pictures to put online and so I'm going to write out how to do it yourselves and its gonna be real easy.

  1. You'll want to make an account first with the site and then shoot me an email that your going to upload some pictures so I give your account access to Picture Upload.
  2. Once your account has Administrator privileges, login to www.beaverlakeskiclub.com/administrator and sign in using your account.
  3. From the Control Panel, click Components > JoomGallery > Picture Upload.
  4. This will let you upload about 10 pictures at a time. Be patient, depending on the picture size it make take a while.

And thats all there is to it!

 
2009 National Collegiate All-Stars Tournament PDF Print E-mail

The Beaver Lake Ski Club is proud to announce the 2009 National Collegiate All-Stars Tournament to be held at Beaver Lake on May 16-17th, 2009.  This prestigeous event will draw the best water ski athletes from colleges and universities across the country to represent their schools and regions. 

Several national collegiate records have been set at Beaver Lake in past years, including the men and women's trick record which stand to this day.  With the near perfect conditions, records will be broken in 2009!

The History of the Lake and the Club PDF Print E-mail

Beaver Lake Ski Club was founded in 1990 with the goal of taking a Gates County borrow pit and transforming it into a world class tournament water ski facility. Discovered from aerial photos, the site was the proverbial diamond in the rough. There was a pretty lake, left behind from sand mining in 1970 to build the Chowan River bridge. The surrounding property was a maze of overgrown shoreline with any remnant of a path being spotted with potholes big enough to lose a vehicle in. Piles of trash and old appliances were a sore reminder of the neglect the property had suffered for the past two decades...
