The 2010 Season is here!

Welcome to our website and the 2010 water ski season at Beaver Lake.   We are happy to announce our slate of events for this summer.  This year will feature the following tournaments:

June 12-13th:  The Beaver Lake Challenge.  This event is the next generation of the River City Challenge, one of the longest running three event tournaments is North Carolina water ski history.  The RCC was born on the Pasquotank River in Elizabeth City back in 1988 and eventually moved to Beaver Lake several years ago.  After a 20 year run and a new site for the event, we decided it was time to give the tourney a fresh start.  You can count on the same 2 round and 3 event format along with great food and entertainment the event has become famous for!

July 17-18th:  The North Carolina Water Ski Championship presented by Monster.  
This will be the 4th time that Beaver Lake has hosted North Carolina's main event of the season.  We are honored for the "States” to return to our site and promise to make it a championship to remember!  Each time we have hosted this event, many state records have been broken.  We expect the waters of Beaver Lake to produce more in 2010!

September 4th:  Dia Facil.  Spanish for "easy day”, this is our one day, laid back and  easy going event to give our friends a quick tournament and a chance for great scores post Nationals to start out the new "ski year”.  Featuring Slalom and Trick competition, this tourney will be a great start to the Labor Day weekend.  Folks are invited to hang around Saturday night for more good times.

October 2nd:  The Haley Mitchell Ski-a-thon for SMA.  In its 12th year, this is one you don't want to miss.  This unique tournament has been wildly successful in raising money and awareness for Spinal Muscular Atrophy research.  A "one of a kind” event in the sport of water skiing, everyone that participates is touched by Haley's story and knowing that they are part of our special mission to cure this disease.  Whether you ski or not, please come out and share our special day.  Two rounds of Slalom, live entertainment, the silent auction with tons of great stuff, Haley's birthday party, and the evening pot luck dinner will make for a weekend to remember!
